We were encouraged to work collaboratively with our course peers to create some puppets! These puppets had to celebrate Portugal’s culture and were featured in a music video to promote Portugal in the 2023 Eurovision. This project was an eye opening challenge being my first time ever working with fabric and sewing techniques. The team collaboratively delegated different roles to each individual that would not only play to everyone’s strengths but also push each of us out of our comfort zones. Many of my final concepts were chosen, and my final set design was also used as a backdrop in the music video. Once we finished making the puppets, we were given the opportunity to puppeteer our creations on screen!
