POP UP
BOOK
FOR BUGLIFE's LIGHT POLLUTION CAMPAIGN
For this project, we had to approach an external client for a brief and create a model that suited the company and their values. My chosen client was Buglife - a bug conservation charity. After explaining to them that I had a keen interest in illustration and character development, I suggested creating protagonists and antagonists to promote the negative impacts that artificial light at night has on invertebrates. I thought this was the best opportunity to explore 3D illustration and create a pop up book story about artificial light sources tormenting different bugs. I loved working with a client to help bring their imagined ideas into reality. Also, I got to work with different departments of the University that I had not explored yet including the graphics studios for high quality printing and the book binding department for assembly.
